Bakhtar Research and Engineering LLC, originally called Bakhtar Associates then changed again to Bakhtar Technology LLC until 2017. At that time the company’s name was changed again to Bakhtar Research & Engineering LLC. This research and engineering company was initially started with funding from United States Air Force SBIR Phases I, II, III, and Defense Threat Reduction Agency contracts from ideas originated by Dr. Khosrow Bakhtar. The company name is in honor of Dr. Y. Bakhtar, Khosrow’s father.
